EE carried out a full upgrade to the Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression system at their Hamilton, Scotland site.
A complete new system was installed throughout the building where the new fire alarm system comprised of point detection on the ceiling covering the floor plan, ceiling void detection, detection in floor voids in all switches and within general offices and amenity areas.
Aspiration systems were installed to each switch to provide early fire detection for each unit.
A full new containment network was installed for all wiring, this included a trunking network within floor voids and galvanised conduit in other areas.
During the installation works extra care was afforded to the works to ensure minimum dust contamination within all switches. The existing fire alarm system was fully operational during the works, once the new systems had been tested and commissioned these were fully stripped out and made good.
